Tell us what the house is doing. We will tell you what it is

Air conditioning, heating and duct work across Denton County — diagnosed with instruments, written down before the work starts, and explained in words you can repeat to somebody else.

Docket 01

Three kinds of job

  • Today It has stopped No cooling, no heating, or a system tripping out. We bring the common parts with us, and if it is not one of those you get a written price before anything else happens.
    • Capacitors, contactors, igniters, sensors
    • Drain and float switch faults
    • Tripped safeties and what caused them
  • Booked It is not right A room that never behaves, a bill that climbed, a noise that is new. These take measurement rather than a parts swap, and we set aside the time to do that properly.
    • Airflow measured room by room
    • Attic duct leakage and insulation
    • Return sizing and thermostat placement
  • Planned Keeping it going Annual service with a written record, and an honest read on how long the equipment has left rather than a replacement quote on the first visit.
    • Coils, drains, electrical, refrigerant behaviour
    • Written condition note each year
    • What to budget, and when
Docket 02

The Denton two-story problem

Half the houses around here are two stories on a single system, and in August the upstairs runs several degrees hotter than the downstairs no matter where the thermostat is set. It is the single most common thing we are called about.

It is almost never a capacity problem. Pick the complaint on the house section and it shows you which part of the house the fault usually lives in — and what the cheap fix is before the expensive one.

How a visit goes

  1. You tell us what it is doing

On the phone or on the form. What you have noticed and when — that alone rules out a surprising amount before anybody drives anywhere.

  2. We measure before we guess

Temperatures, pressures, airflow and electrical draw. A diagnosis that starts with an opinion tends to end with the wrong part fitted.

  3. You get the price in writing

Before the work, including what happens if we open something up and find more. You decide at that point, not us.

  4. We tell you what caused it

Not only what we replaced. The cause is what decides whether it happens again next summer.

  5. You keep the record

What we found, what we did and what we would watch. It is your equipment; the history belongs to you.
